The next useful idea may come from a different perspective, an overlooked strength, or a question nobody has made room to ask.
RERUT is an independent innovation consultancy led by Benjiman Jennings. We connect strategy, people and technology to help teams understand a challenge, explore a better approach and put it to the test.

THE METHODOLOGY
How a team works determines what it can discover. These six pillars connect observation, human strengths, protected candor and disciplined experimentation.
What is really happening—and for whom?
Go to the work. Observe real handoffs, delays, exceptions and useful adaptations. Begin with the people doing and experiencing it, then connect customer, technical, operational, financial and governance perspectives. Separate what we observed from what we inferred.
What could become a distinctive capability?
Use conversion SWOT to amplify strengths, turn weaknesses into capabilities or partnerships, and convert threats into opportunities or strategic offsets. The Resource Rule concentrates effort on valuable, repeatable capabilities. Mitigate and monitor what cannot be converted; retain necessary controls and retire work that no longer serves the purpose.
Where can people contribute their best?
Connect demonstrated strengths, voluntary interests and curiosity to meaningful work. Develop communication, connection, community, trust and respect alongside technical skill. Test better role and team arrangements, making room for growth, purposeful contribution and the energy of discovery.
Can the difficult truth enter the room?
Practice protected candor: make questions, dissent, uncertainty and mistakes discussable without humiliation or retaliation. Pair that aspiration with clear responsibilities, quality standards, constructive conflict and repair. “Bulletproof” names the ambition; it does not promise freedom from every interpersonal risk.
What becomes possible when an assumption moves?
Temporarily set aside inherited assumptions. Explore individually, borrow from other fields and imagine radically different settings. Bring useful principles back into real planning, restore practical constraints and test the ideas. Imagination can suspend conventions; implementation retains ethical, legal and safety boundaries.
Could we change the rules of the problem?
Look beyond improving a metric within today’s operating model. Test a different arrangement that resolves or materially reframes a persistent tradeoff. A shift earns its place through useful outcomes, adoption and sustainable capability—without moving unacceptable costs or burdens to someone else.
WORKING WITH RERUT
Start with the decision your team needs to make.
We shape an engagement around the people involved, the constraints that matter and the evidence needed to move forward. The methodology gives the work a common foundation; your challenge determines where we begin.
